This photo shows you the former shaft 3 of Lothringen colliery
in Bochum (Germany), today being integrated into a car park. When it was in use,
the shaft led down to -813 metres (data from the book of J. Huske, "Die
Steinkohlenzechen im Ruhrrevier"). Isn't it impressioning to imagine that in
earlier times lots of miners started their shift in this place ?
